What is Sentence Pumper?
Distributed
across four disks is a package which utilises sentence typing with either
sampled or synthesised speech. Included is a simple to use editor
allowing teachers to create their own list from sampled speech.
A development of our popular BBC title, with many additional features. A target sentence is displayed for the pupil to type, either by copying, from memory or by listening only. Each word may be spoken, as may the whole sentence, and the program offers help with the required letters. Teachers may opt to use the custom designed font supplied with the program, or select from their own font catalogue and taylor the text/paper colour to the needs of the pupil.
When creating
new sentences, you may choose to simply drop in an !Edit file of work,
whereupon the program will use synthesised speech, or, with the aid of
a sound sampler, build up sentence lists which enable the program to speak
with your own voice.
