What is Alpha Sounds?
This two disk package helps the pupil to master the
26 basic letter - sound and name correspondence through a series of tasks
which aim at immediate response.
The first of the two disks aims to provide both simple tuition and practice in the letters of the alphabet, linking the upper- and lower-case letters to their sound, the letters name and a picture with the same initial letter as that being practiced.
The second
disk presents the letters in three different practice games from simple
sequencing to matching the letter to either its capital or a picture beginning
with the same letter and finally there is another sequencing game with a shoot-em-up feel to it.
Digital sampled speech is used throughout the program as an aid to
reinforcement.
